A colour strip showing the oscillation. It is a gas comprising a 50-50 mixture of spin up and spin down lithium-6 atoms,which are fermions. It is at a temperature of 400 nanodegrees and it is strongly interacting - by choice of an appropriate magnetic field which adjusts how the spin pairs affect one another.
