GRB 031203

Sky image around GRB 031203 in the 17-50 keV X-ray energy band obtained with the IBIS instrument aboard INTEGRAL. The gamma-ray burst remained detectable for about 40 sec and during this interval by far outshone the neighbouring persistent X-ray sources Vela X-1 and MX 0836-429, shown by crosses (image credit: S Sazonov).
