Frozen out
Global map of the abundance of secondary neutrons as measured by the Mars Odyssey's gamma-ray spectrometer. The map reveals regions of enhanced hydrogen content that are probably related to the presence of massive shallow sub-surface deposits of frozen water. Higher abundances of hydrogen are shown in blue, lower abundances in red.
