Theoretical calculation of the condensate wavefunction versus radial co-ordinate for a cloud of 5000 rubidium atoms. The solid line corresponds to the solution of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation, which is the Schrödinger equation with the inclusion of two-body collisions, while the dashed line is the prediction for a non-interacting cloud.
