Thermoluminescence testing revealed that this ceramic horse, said to be from the T'ang dynasty, was a fake. The base on which it stands and the underside of the horse are made from genuine pieces of porcelain from the period, but the measurements from the saddle, neck and tail show that the rest of the body is more recent.
