Many challenging nanotechnology applications require vacuum environments. Vacuum applications present a unique challenges for precision motion systems. Mad City Labs are the experts in providing vacuum compatible piezo based nanopositioning systems.
For many of our competitors, vacuum compatibility is a custom or sideline offering. At Mad City Labs we offer standard products that are UHV compatible! We also appreciate, from our long experience with vacuum instrumentation, that sometimes standard products need to be modified to fit the unique constraints of individual vacuum systems. In these cases, we can modify many of our standard products to be vacuum compatible or custom design a system for your application. We can adapt our nanopositioners to be compatible with all vacuum ranges, including ultra high vacuum systems.
Our vacuum compatible systems include components sourced from well-known vacuum supply vendors.
How do we design for vacuum environments?
Our engineering and sales team work from the depth of their own practical experience, not just from theoretical design practices. Collectively our sales and engineering team has over 50 years experience with HV and UHV systems. This depth of experience gives our team a wider instrumentation view which can enormously benefit the customer. We ensure that we use appropriate vacuum compatible components (e.g. kapton wire etc.) and incorporate vacuum specific engineering principles (e.g. no blind holes, bakeable components).
