Gas and Moisture Permeation Measurement for High Barrier Films

Many flexible plastic films provide near ideal optical and mechanical properties, but their barrier to permeation of gases and water often needs to be improved to provide useable product life, for example in plastic electronics, flexible OLEDs and organic photovoltaics. This joint workshop aims to improve understanding in the area of barriers and their measurement, where improvements in sensitivity and reliability are required urgently. It will be of interest to scientists developing barrier layers for films, and using or improving permeability testing equipment.
