MPIPKS-ITAMP Tandem School and Workshop on Ultracold Rydberg Physics

In recent years, we have witnessed a surge of interdisciplinary activity on the physics of ultracold Rydberg atoms. The long coherence times and strong interactions offered by highly excited atoms, provide unique opportunities for applications in quantum information science and nonlinear optics, and, at the same time, continue to raise diverse questions at the interface of atomic, molecular, optical and condensed matter physics. This workshop will explore such synergies by bringing together leading experts in these fields to discuss latest results and identify new challenges for theory and experiment.
