Conference

22nd International Conference on Spectral Line Shapes (ICSLS22)

The ICSLS bi-annual conference series started in Paris, France in 1973, and it is held alternating European and North-American conference venues. The last three European venues were Paris, France (2004), Valladolid, Spain (2008), and St. Petersburg, Russia (2012). The last two North American venues were Auburn, Alabama USA (2006), and St. John’s, Canada (2010).

Consistent with recent conferences, the Tullahoma, Tennessee USA (2014) conference also “covers a broad range of topics with a particular emphasis on spectral line shape studies including line shapes of atomic and molecular transitions in neutral gaseous mixtures, high and low temperature plasmas, clusters and helium droplets, spectroscopy of stellar atmospheres and interstellar media, cold atoms and molecules, collision-induced spectra, processes in laser fields and innovative techniques of line shape applications for diagnostic purposes.” Topics to be adjusted and/or augmented for ICSLS22 include things of interest at or near the UT Space Institute, e.g., laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy, spectroscopy with ultra-short light pulses, and/or combustion diagnostics.

The Conference includes invited lectures, contributed talks, poster presentations, and round table discussions. Sessions will be held at the UT Space Institute in Tullahoma, TN.
