Scion 2 Megapixel camera for Mac and PC Oct 24, 2007

Scion is one of the few companies that offer software for cameras and frame grabbers under MAC as well as PC operating systems. The CFW-1600 series cameras are well suited to a variety of bright-field as well as low-light scientific imaging applications. The camera interfaces with both desktop and notebook computers through the convenient IEEE-1394a (FireWire) interface. The cameras come with several software support options. Scion VisiCapture is a full-featured application for controlling the camera and capturing and saving images. Also provided is a TWAIN module for using the camera inside of popular applications such as Adobe Photoshop and Image/J. Software is compatible with Windows 2000, XP, and Vista, and Mac OS X. The CFW-1600 series comes with a 6 pin IEEE-1394a cable with a 4 pin adapter available on request for use with notebook computers. More info at www.alrad.co.uk
