HV-Series bipolar multi-channel voltage source Nov 30, 2007

HV-Series devices provide 8 or 16 outputs of stable DC voltages up to +/- 500V (bipolar outputs) for electrostatic lenses, beam deflectors or ion traps.

16 output channels packed in 19-inch rack-mount housing together with continuous zero crossing feature and intuitive user interface makes HV-series device unique on the market.

The outputs are optimized for very high short and long term stability, low ripple, low noise and small temperature drift. An unique feature is the combination of multi-channels and a continuous zero crossing capability, giving the user the possibility to sweep from positive (+500V) to negative (-500V) voltages continuously without switches and voltage breaks.

The outputs feature a stable setting of voltages with typically 10 mV resolution (HV 200) or 20 mV resolution (HV 500), corresponding to an internal resolution of 16 Bits. Every output is equipped with a correction loop, which ensures low fluctuations and very good short term stability in order of a few ppm. The voltage settling time depends on the external load and is generally limited by the maximum voltage slope of roughly 1200V/sec.

User control of the device can be accomplished by PC control programs, utilizing a standard USB connection. A LabVIEW control program is included.
