Prototype U-shaped limb MRI magnet, approx 0.25T, 600kg, pole gap approx 25cm. Severe inhomogeneity.

U-shaped permanent magnet, approx 0.25T, 600kg. Dimensions approx 90 x 63 x 51 cm (l,w,h). Pole gap approx 22cm. Prototype for limb MR imaging but inhomogeneity proved too severe to shim. Possibly usable for MRI over a smaller volume, but no field gradient or RF coils supplied. 0.5G isocontour is 1.2m from magnet so requires careful handling and protection against unauthorized access. Hazard from repulsive explosion if any attempt is made to dismantle. Offers invited. Buyer collects.
