it is a variable optical attenuator with a level controller mode in a single rugged hand-held instrument,this equipment has two operating modes: optical attenuator, and automatic level controller,it is automatic stabilization of the output power with the automatic level controller mode.its universal optical interface can fit various fiber connections including mu duplex single mode,mtrj duplex single mode and fc duplex single mode.it is used in simulation of line loss for BER testing and power level control for calibration test setups.
