Paul Guinnessy, the editor of PhysicsWeb, is leaving Institute of Physics Publishing to join the American Institute of Physics. Since PhysicsWeb was launched two-and-a-half years ago, Paul has written over 600 news stories and placed 30 issues of Physics World magazine on the Web. The best legacy any editor can leave his employer is a publication that is popular and successful - and Paul has certainly done that. He would like to send the following farewell message to PhysicsWeb users.
“When I helped create PhysicsWeb nearly three years ago, I was sure that it would be a successful site. However, sites such as PhysicsWeb do not rely solely on one individual, and I would like to thank Lloyd Fletcher, James Counihan, Martin Kelly, Chris Brown and all the Physics World editorial team for their support and guidance and support.
