Candice Chua

Candice Chua is a PhD student contributor to Physics World. She is co-advised across Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the US. Her PhD research in the Ketterle Lab centres around rubidium atoms cooled to a fraction of a degree above absolute zero. At these low temperatures, she can observe quantum phenomena with single-atom resolution. She is fascinated by the quantum world and newly emerging quantum technology. Outside of the lab, she enjoys long-distance running, watercolour painting and reading.
