Chaitanya Gupta is a student contributor to Physics World. They are currently pursuing their PhD at the University of Bristol, UK. Their research interests broadly lie in quantum foundations and information. Currently, they are researching how they can use quantum information tools to come up with discrete spacetime models of particle physics. They hold a master’s degree from the University of Cambridge, UK and a bachelor’s from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. They are originally from the Himalayan town of Jammu, Jammu and Kashmir. Apart from studying quantum mechanics, they enjoy reading fiction, cooking and working out.
