Georgina Croft

Georgina Croft is a PhD student contributor to Physics World. Having obtained her MSci degree at the University of Birmingham, UK, she is now completing her PhD in quantum technology there too. Her research involves designing, building and testing ultracold atom systems and components with the application of measuring gravity on ground and from space. As part of the UK National Quantum Technologies Programme, she collaborates with academic institutions, industry partners and government organizations. Georgina also enjoys promoting her field, and STEM in general, through outreach at science festivals and exhibitions.
