Jacob Marks
Jacob Marks is a former PhD student contributor to Physics World. As an undergraduate at Yale University, US, he studied physics, maths and philosophy, and conducted particle-physics research at CERN before turning his attention to the quantum world. For his PhD in physics at Stanford University, US, his research focused on the curious concept of topology, which could one day help us make better quantum computers. Jacob writes about science and philosophy on his blog The Silhouette of Science.
