Acoustic recordings show biodiversity harm from 2015 haze pollution
I am editor of environment and energy at Physics World. After an MA in materials science from the University of Oxford, I completed a PhD in thin-film diamond at the University of Bristol, a short walk up the hill from the IOP Publishing offices. Nowadays I’m more grounded and cover environmental physics, earth science and renewable-energy research and policy. Outside work, I recently co-authored a popular science book, Furry Logic: the Physics of Animal Life, with my IOP Publishing colleague Matin Durrani.
