Roberto Menta
Roberto Menta is a PhD student and contributor to Physics World. He is conducting research in quantum computing and quantum information at Scuola Normale Superiore (SNS) in Italy. He also works as a quantum scientist at Planckian srl, a start-up focused on superconducting quantum computing. Roberto’s academic interests include global control in quantum computation, quantum error correction and fault-tolerant schemes. He also explores topics in quantum energy and quantum batteries. He earned his degree in theoretical physics from the University of Pisa and has conducted research at Fermilab, Princeton University and, more recently, at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Outside of research, Roberto enjoys playing soccer, running, hiking and windsurfing in the summer.
