Robin Kerr is a PhD student contributor to Physics World. He is a student of the Advanced Characterisation of Materials CDT, a collaborative PhD between University College London and Imperial College London. His research takes a surface science approach to characterizing organometal halide perovskites, with techniques including scanning tunnelling microscopy and time-resolved photoemission measurements. Outside of science, he enjoys playing the tenor saxophone and running (slowly).
