Sophia Walls
Sophia Walls is a PhD student contributor to Physics World. She is working towards a PhD in open quantum systems and quantum foundations at University College London, UK. Her research is focused on modelling quantum measurement as a stochastic process as well as further understanding quantum entanglement and contextuality. She is drawn to the way in which determinism, locality and realism are presented in quantum mechanics and how difficult concepts such as these may be communicated in an understandable and engaging manner. Outside of the PhD, she enjoys writing poetry, dancing salsa, playing the piano and learning new languages.
