Physics of Life 2027 is the third conference in a successful biennial series launched in 2023. The meeting is organised jointly by the Physics of Life Network (via EPSRC), the IOP Biological Physics Group, the British Biophysical Society, Physics of Living Matter, Physics Meets Biology, and the Company of Biologists.

The inaugural Physics of Life 2023 conference attracted more than 470 attendees and showcased outstanding biological physics research from across the UK and internationally. In 2025 the conference grew further (see Physics of Life 2025). Our aim is to bring together the community through inspiring keynote lectures and a broad programme of parallel sessions spanning the diverse areas of biological physics. As there are still relatively few conferences of this scale and focus worldwide, we hope the meeting will continue to serve as an important forum for the field.
