Home green home: scientific solutions for cutting carbon and your energy bill

With energy bills on the rise, plenty of people are interested in ditching the fossil fuels currently used to heat their homes. Margaret Harris explores the challenges of doing so, based in part on her own experience of installing a heat pump in her family home. This issue also looks back on the 2022 Nobel Prize for Physics, which went to Alain Aspect, John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger for their experiments in quantum physics. There’s also a great interview with Nobel laureate Rainer Weiss on the hunt for gravitational waves.
