Presenters:

Steven Goetsch, Ph.D., has been Chief of Medical Physics at the San Diego Gamma Knife Center since it opened in 1994. He earned a doctorate in Medical Physics from the University of Wisconsin in 1983. For seven years after that he was the Director of the University of Wisconsin Accredited Dosimetry Calibration Laboratory. From 1990 to 1994 he was a medical physicist at UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Goetsch has published over 40 scientific papers, 13 book chapters and edited 3 books. He was on the national Board of Directors of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and the Board of Directors of the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs. He also teaches medical physics and ethics at the online Radiological Technologies University in South Bend, IN.

Chris Schuman is a certified medical dosimetrist and radiation therapist with over 20 years of experience in clinical radiation oncology, product management, marketing, and education. He has worked for a number of treatment planning and delivery system manufacturers including CMS, TomoTherapy, Accuray, and Akesis.
