Iridium Kankernetwerk is a busy oncology department that provides about 5600 radiation-therapy treatments per year across four locations in Belgium. The department was looking to optimize its quality-assurance programme through standardization and automation. Iridium Kankernetwerk includes several hospitals in the Antwerp region of Belgium (including GZA hospital group, ZNA hospital group, UZA, AZ KLINA, AZ Nikolaas, AZ Monica, and AZ St Jozef), with 11 linear accelerators in total. The network includes a staff of 14 medical physicists and five physics assistants, and provides about 5600 radiation-therapy treatments each year.
