Nanotechnology has become synonymous with next-generation design and innovation – so what does that look like and what kinds of technologies are undergoing the most radical or profitable reinventions at the moment? I headed to Nanotech 2019 at Tokyo Big Sight where more than 40,000 attendees gathered to view show-stopping exhibits and talks by representatives of 500 organizations from 21 countries across the world.

This video blog shows some of the highlights of the exhibition, from 3D printed footwear and organic LEDs to anodized paint and cars made from plants.
