Heba Megahd is a PhD student contributor to Physics World. She is part of the Responsive Polymer and Solution-processed Nanophotonics group at the University of Genoa. Her work focuses on structurally coloured polymer films for sensing and photoluminescence control applications. When not working with lasers and spectrometers, she enjoys dabbling in the visual arts.
