Maria Gragera Garcés
Maria Gragera Garcés is a PhD student contributor to Physics World. She is pursuing her PhD in distributed quantum computing at the Quantum Software Lab, University of Edinburgh, UK. Her research focuses on building software frameworks for computing systems where multiple independent quantum devices collaborate to solve problems beyond their individual capabilities. She is particularly interested in how quantum computation can scale through networking, modular architectures and clear abstractions for distributed execution. She is passionate about making complex scientific ideas engaging and accessible. Outside of research, she enjoys crochet, reading and travelling. Previously, she worked in the quantum industry on quantum networking and software development.
