The first movie made exclusively for distribution on the Internet has been launched. The Quantum Project, say its makers, "is about quantum physics, the World Wide Web, and spiritual mystery." The film tells the story of Paul Pentcho, a physicist played by Stephen Dorff, and his exploration of the quantum universe. The $3 m movie also stars Fay Masterson and John Cleese, and combines live action with extensive computer and 3-D effects.
