Laser Safety Refresher Course (including Laser Safety Forum)

This one-day course is aimed at those who have attended the Laser Safety Officer or the Laser Safety Management course in the past. It will cover developments in laser safety and particularly specific techniques now included in the Laser Safety Management course.

What do I get out of this course?

The course will be a balance of formal presentations and syndicate/workshop exercises, with time to discuss specific issues.

Numbers will be limited to ensure that participants will achieve maximum benefit from attendance.

The course fee includes:
• attendance at the Laser Safety Forum (held the day before the course)
• lunch and an evening meal (the day of the Forum)
• accommodation (the night before the course)
• breakfast and lunch (the day of the course)

Please note that this is a refresher course and not an advanced course.

If you are interested in a more advanced course then please contact us.

Why should I come to PHE?

As the government agency responsible for establishing safe exposures, and as the authors of the European Commission guide to the Artificial Optical Radiation Directive, PHE is uniquely placed to deliver these courses. Our experts help develop the worldwide standards through their research, development and advisory roles, and PHE has been integral in establishing world leading optical radiation safety approaches and training for over twenty years.
